More Carl Craig niceness, since I just stumbled over this track in an iTunes-playlist. All gorgeous, soothing synth washes over a throbbing, warm pulse beat, it's every bit as wonderful and full of a wide-eyed utopian longing as the original. Ooooh, what bliss!

A nice, versatile dj-set recorded for the excellent net radio Sub FM that I snatched off some forum. Also worth checking out: the Invisible Jukebox with His Craigness from The Wire's April issue, as it's a pretty darn fascinating and insightful read.

The Tone Generation
This is pretty good:
"Over 10 programmes, artist/musician Ian Helliwell delves into his archive to look at the development of electronic music right across the world in the classic era of analogue technology. Starting in Europe and finishing up in the Southern Hemisphere, he will be playing vintage tracks from celebrated and overlooked composers from each country."

I prefer my Krautrock to actually have fairly little rock in it (read: Neu!, Harmonia, K/Cluster, early Tangerine Dream, some Popol Vuh) and think that the freakout/psych jam bands like Amon Düül I & 2 or Cosmic Jokers are mostly noodly, badly dated crap, so I disagree completely with a lot of Copey's assessments. Still, this is a great overview of German Kosmische Musik and one hell of an entertaining read in a Lester Bangs-gone-acidfried-hippie stylee. Now if only the old nutter would go back to making good music again...

Dubstep (Not Dubstep) - Bass Music Faves 2007
(Click on the picture to download. Go here for the tracklist.)
A compilation of dubstep and dubstep related/inspired tunes I threw together a couple of months ago, including Kode9, Mala, Benga, Pinch, Burial, Peverelist, Shackleton, Modeselektor & Thome Yorke, Neil Landstrumm, Boxcutter, The Bug and Jegor Teplow aka Sleeparchive. Thirty massive tracks, all killer no filler!
Hi there!
What you'll get here is basically what the amazingly unsnappy title says: compilation type thingies and short blurbs about my fellow bwoggers, artists, net labels or podcasts, but also youtube finds, single tracks and other music-related stuff that doesn't fit the album blog-format of my main blog. So, uh, enjoy? I hope?
